GandALF 2026 will take place at Hotel Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, conveniently located in the heart of Aalborg, next to the city’s central park, Kildeparken. The venue is within easy walking distance (approximately 9 minutes) of Aalborg Station, the city’s main railway and bus station, via a pleasant route through the park.
The conference sessions will be held in Room M2, located on the ground floor of the hotel. The room is equipped with a projector, projection screen, and a small whiteboard.
The projector supports a standard HDMI connection. A selection of adapters for common video connectors will be available in the conference room; however, we recommend that presenters bring any adapters they may require for their own devices.
Aalborg is easily accessible by air, with frequent daily flights from Copenhagen and regular direct connections from Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
Aalborg Airport is located approximately 7 km from the city centre. From the airport, participants can reach the conference venue either by taxi (approximately 10–15 minutes) or by public transport, using bus line 12 or a train to Aalborg Station, the city’s main railway and bus station.
Aalborg is well connected by train and long-distance bus services from/to Copenhagen, Aarhus, and many other European cities.
For train travel within Denmark and local bus connections to Aalborg, we recommend planning your journey using Rejseplanen. Tickets can be purchased either at the train station or through the Rejsebillet app, available for both iOS and Android (payment is by credit/debit card, using the app).
For longer coach journeys (e.g. from Copenhagen or other European cities), we recommend using FlixBus.
We strongly encourage participants to use public transportation whenever possible.
Free public parking near the conference venue is very limited, and many parking spaces are restricted to a maximum stay of one hour. Parking permits for visitors may be available at Hotel Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg; however, participants interested in this option should contact the hotel directly in advance to inquire about availability.
